As with all things in life planning is the first essential ingredient to success, so should be the start point. All too often people are in a hurry to get their CV rewritten and start applying for jobs without really thinking through their career strategy and are then disappointed that they fire blanks. This is the classic 'scattergun' approach which rarely works!

Establish your current situation and how you feel about this

Identify what needs to change and WHY
Establish your career goals e.g. similar job, promotion or career change
Agree best course of action to move you forward

Career goal setting and review of current CV (2 hours face to face or 1 hour by telephone)

An in depth look at your job/career situation
Identify your short and longer term career and life goals
Review your job search strategy
Identify barriers to achieving your goals
Review interview experiences
Identify how well your CV reflects you and your goals
Agree a course of action to take control of your career

These sessions can be either taken in isolation or as part of a Breakthrough Career Development or Executive Development Programme for a more effective and value for money approach.
